    The 15kV 350 Mcm/175mm² shielded cable is a high-performance cable specially designed for medium and high-voltage power transmission. Its core parameters and structural design fully meet the stringent requirements of industrial and municipal power transmission systems, especially in terms of stability, safety, and adaptability. The conductor specification of the cable is marked in both imperial and metric units. 350 thousand circular mils (Mcm) and 175 square millimeters (mm²) correspond to similar cross-sectional areas, which can not only adapt to internationally accepted standards but also meet engineering habits in different regions, providing flexible and reliable solutions for power transmission.​ The conductor part is made of high-purity copper material, which has excellent electrical conductivity, effectively reducing energy loss during power transmission and ensuring efficient power transmission. The cross-sectional area of 350 Mcm/175mm² enables it to carry large currents, making it suitable for high-load requirements in medium and high-voltage transmission scenarios, such as urban main distribution network lines, main power supply circuits in large industrial parks, and power collection and transmission in new energy projects (such as wind power and photovoltaic power stations). The conductor is processed through a precision stranding process, which enhances the flexibility of the cable, facilitating laying in complex environments, whether it is underground direct burial, pipeline penetration, or installation in cable trenches.​ The insulation layer is made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) material, which endows the cable with excellent electrical performance and durability. XLPE has extremely high insulation resistance and electrical strength, and can work stably under the rated voltage of 15kV, effectively isolating the conductor from the external environment and preventing faults such as leakage and breakdown. At the same time, XLPE material has excellent temperature resistance, and can operate normally in the ambient temperature range of -40℃ to 90℃. It can even withstand high temperatures of 130℃ during short-term overload, adapting to possible temperature fluctuations in power transmission. In addition, XLPE has strong chemical stability, not easily affected by acids, alkalis, oils, moisture and other factors, which greatly prolongs the service life of the cable and reduces maintenance costs.​ The shielding layer is a key component of the cable, usually designed with copper tape or copper wire wrapping, which can evenly distribute the electric field, reduce insulation aging caused by electric field concentration, and play an electromagnetic shielding role at the same time, reducing electromagnetic interference to surrounding equipment. This feature is particularly important in areas sensitive to the electromagnetic environment, such as substations and industrial control centers, which can ensure the normal operation of precision equipment.​ The 133% impulse withstand voltage (BIL) is a significant performance highlight of the cable, meaning that it can withstand instantaneous impulses far exceeding the rated voltage, such as lightning impulses and operating overvoltages, effectively reducing the risk of insulation damage caused by sudden voltage fluctuations, and providing a solid guarantee for the safe and stable operation of the power system. In thunderstorm-prone areas or scenarios with frequent high-voltage switch operations, this feature can significantly improve the anti-interference ability and fault tolerance of the system.​ The overall structural design of the cable takes both safety and practicability into account. The outer layer usually adopts a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyethylene (PE) sheath, which has good corrosion resistance, wear resistance and moisture resistance, further protecting the internal structure from damage by the external environment. Whether it is urban power grid upgrading, industrial power transmission, or new energy project construction, this cable can provide stable and efficient power transmission support with its reliable performance, flexible specifications, and strong environmental adaptability.
