Their insulation layers undergo voltage resistance and flame retardancy tests, effectively slowing fire spread under high temperatures or short circuits. The current-carrying capacity of stranded copper conductors is accurately calculated—for example, 8 AWG can continuously carry 40A at 90°C, while 14 AWG carries 15A at 60°C—meeting power transmission needs in various scenarios.
